Chat to HMP Mars Scientists. Today's Chat: Allesandro Airo

About

Talk to a scientist or engineer on the NASA-led Haughton-Mars Project! Using the chat client below, you can contact the team on Devon Island, Canadian High Arctic.

The Haughton-Mars Project (HMP) is a NASA-led international field research program centered on the scientific study of the Haughton impact crater and its surroundings, Devon Island, Nunavut, Canadian high arctic, as a possible Mars analog.

As part of the HMP Education and Public Outreach Program, participants from the field will be discussing their research and answering questions from students.

Today's chat is with Allesandro Airo of the Free University of Berlin and NASA Ames Research Center. Allesandro is a biology student working on genetics of a specific microbe that may possibly be found in the crater region. He will discuss the relation to potential life on Mars.
